I wonder if Kat Sandler ever feels the pressure. As co-founder, writer and director of all Theatre Brouhaha’s work, I wonder if she ever lays awake at night thinking “Will I be able to churn out another hilarious and insightful piece of theatre and then oversee the production of the show to it’s full potential, AGAIN?!”
She certainly met expectations with her Fringe production of PUNCH UP, a 60 minute hysterical thesis on the importance of (and devestation of) love and the lengths we’ll go to have it. The writing is sharp, the actors are fresh (I saw show #7) and the direction is great. If Ms. Sandler is feeling any sort of pressure, it’s not showing – at least not in her work, and I hope she sleeps like a baby knowing she sucessfully did it again.
PUNCH UP is a Fringe Patron’s Pick so you have 3 more chances to see it. For show times click here, for tix click here.
