But I will say this: THE OAK ROOM is an original story performed by actors who are refreshingly comfortable with themselves and with their craft (feats often elusive at The Fringe) which is of paramount importance for such a highly mysterious story and such a thoughtful production.
The repetitive dialogue (part of the show’s “comedy’ component) needs some dramaturgical work, but, otherwise, the show’s got staying power – with both your attention during, and in your thoughts afterwards.
It won’t be what you’re expecting, but nothing worthwhile ever is, and the ride to discovery is always the best part. Ditto for THE OAK ROOM.
Short Listed for the Best of the Fringe, THE OAK ROOM has only 3 more shows at Theatre Passe Muraille (16 Ryerson Ave.). For tix click here or call: 416-966-1062.
